TVA to Close One Lane of Highway 153 Across Chickamauga Dam

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — Traffic on Highway 153 across TVA’s Chickamauga Dam (Thrasher Bridge) will be restricted to one lane Wednesday, Nov. 12, through Friday, Nov. 14, and again on Tuesday, Nov. 18, for a bridge inspection.

The northbound and southbound lanes will be merged to one lane from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at various times during those days. Motorists may want to consider another route during those hours.

In the event of inclement weather, the inspection will be rescheduled for additional days.
